This January marks the eleventh annual Brush Up Your Shakespeare Festival at The Chicago Academy for the Arts. All the students in both the Theatre and Musical Theatre departments are put in one casting pool with directors from the faculty, alumni, and outside guest artist professionals. This season we return to two plays that riff on the trope of twins, as the plots of both The Comedy of Errors and Twelfth Night center on confusions based on a total of three different pairs of identical twins. Meanwhile, the ninth graders in the departments are working on their own piece--an adaptation of Hamlet (a play where there are no twins). See below for tickets!
